My name is Katherine Williams and I grew up nearby in Flatonia. I played sports, competed in UIL competitions, raised animals in FFA, and participated in several student organizations. After high school, I went to UTSA on a scholarship to study science. In college played for the UTSA Ultimate Frisbee team, and was a member of the Baptist Student Ministry. Because of my scholarship and membership in the Honors College, I was given so many opportunities to meet brilliant and interesting people, travel, and ultimately start the career I always wanted. I decided in 6th grade that I wanted to be a teacher, and my time in college was well spent in preparation for it. Now I get to teach all of the high school science classes that we have to offer here at Waelder ISD. When I'm not at school, I like to do arts and crafts, cook, and spend time with my friends and family. I love our little community and I really love getting to see our students learn and grow into the amazing adults they will be in the future. There's no career I'd enjoy more than teaching here at Waelder High School.
