Thanksgiving Meal - Additional Information

“Waelder ISD Parents, Greetings!

Our cafeteria staff are preparing a festive meal to celebrate Thanksgiving here tomorrow November 15, 2018, and you are invited to come and share in this celebration along with your child.

The cost for each meal is $9 adults and $4 for each visiting child. Plates for “carry-out” will be $10. Please bring the exact amount for pay, and please do not bring bills larger than a $20 bill.

The meals will be served in our school’s gymnasium. There will be “sign-in sheets” at the gymnasium entrance door.

Due to the large expectant number of guests, we ask that you adhere to our lunch schedules for both elementary and secondary grade levels. Although we are making this an event to be shared by students and parents, please understand that we cannot grant requests to mix student siblings from different grades.

The lunch schedules are as follows:
Head Start … 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. (45 minutes)

Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd Grades … 10:15 – 11:00 a.m. (45 minutes)

3rd, 4th & 5th Grades … 11:10 – 11:55 a.m. (45 minutes)

6th, 7th, & 8th Grades … 12:05 – 12:50 p.m. (45 minutes)

9th, 10, 11th, & 12th Grades … 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. (45 minutes)

Please remember that school is still in session for all students, and tomorrow is a normal instructional school day. At the end of lunch, students will return to classes with their teachers.

We thank you, in advance, for your cooperation.
Enjoy your meal!

"REMIND" Phone Application for Messaging Parents & Students

rem

Waelder ISD is now using the "REMIND" messaging application district-wide. If you're not already familiar with Remind, it's a classroom communication app that makes it easy to stay involved with your child's learning. Remind is free to use, and you'll be able to get and send messages on any device—even right from your phone. Official accounts are created for all the educators, parents, and students at Waelder ISD. [You may watch video demo (*see link) to get a better sense of the onboarding experience to Remind. We're excited for a better way to stay connected with you!]
