Superintendent's Message

Dear Waelder ISD Parents and Students:

Welcome back for the 2018-2019 school year! For those who are new to our community, Waelder ISD would like to extend a special welcome. I hope that everyone had an enjoyable and relaxing summer. As the Superintendent of Schools at Waelder ISD and staff are looking forward to a great year that will be full of learning and success.

In order for students to perform at their maximum achievement level in school, they need to feel safe in their learning environment. Safety is a high priority for Waelder ISD faculty and staff, and we strive to provide a safe environment for our students. To ensure that environment, we will continue to use our Raptor school security system in the front office. We are also having perimeter cameras installed that will record the entire Waelder ISD campus.

Please remember that guardians must have a valid driver’s license for the system to scan. We only need to scan the license once, after that, we will be able to print your badge each time visiting our campuses automatically. We will also be issuing nameplates for student car pick-up. The driver of the vehicle picking up the child will have to have it displayed in the front passenger window, and a valid driver’s license or they will need to park and sign-out in the front office. Waelder staff would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and support in using our sign-in/out system to keep our children safe.

As we begin the new school year, these would like to address a few additional items will be shared with the school community:
